OS-Secure-Vault is a command-line secure file management system that operates directly at the operating system level rather than through a browser or web server. It handles the full lifecycle of sensitive files — user registration and login, malware scanning, encryption, storage, permission control, sharing, and download — while relying on raw system calls instead of higher-level abstractions. Every action is captured in a tamper-evident audit log, and safeguards like atomic writes and race-condition protection ensure data integrity even during concurrent or interrupted operations. The project is essentially a hands-on demonstration of how real operating systems manage files, processes, and security under the hood.
